我打算基于现在的工作mechanical engineering technician申请skilled migrant resident visa。学历要求是“NZ Register Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) ”。不知道国内本科学历Bachelor符不符合要求，是不是高了？

如果本科学历符合要求，那么第二个问题是如何证明我的专业热能与动力工程(Thermal energy and power engineering)与我的岗位mechanical engineering technician是相关的？目前能查到的就是https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermal_engineering上说前者是后者的子专业。如何提供给移民官提供比较有说服力的证据？需要写一封解释信来说明学过的一些课程是属于机械工程吗？

你这个职业是紧缺职业么？还是Mechanical Engineer (233512)？https://skillshortages.immigration.govt.nz/assets/uploads/long-term-skill-shortage-list.pdf

基本两条路，一条是做NZQA的学历认证，做的同时填写skilled shortage form，由NZQA来认证你的专业是否和你的职业相符。如果NZQA认为不相符，那你就要去做IPENZ了。专业和职业相符这个事情，从来都不是你个人说了算的，解释信是没有用的。对于INZ来说，就是NZQA和IPENZ这种机构出具的certification才有效。

@alewater: 312512 mechanical engineering technician 这个不属于紧缺行业，是我现在做的工作，也就是skilled employment catagory我想去match的，他要求是diploma.我degree是Bachalor.这会有问题吗？
然后我确实也想要claim国内行业的experience的分，是mechanical engineer. 这也是遵循你说的那个认证是吗？

@tomzhu: 我不是这个专业的，所以不太理解mechanical engineer和mechanical engineering technician的区别在哪里。从移民的角度来说，当然是把你现在的工作往mechanical engineer靠更好，你需要仔细研究对于mechanical engineer的job description。https://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Product+Lookup/1220.0~2013,+Version+1.2~Chapter~UNIT+GROUP+2335+Industrial,+Mechanical+and+Production+Engineers
基本逻辑就是尽量往紧缺职业去靠。

@alewater: 多谢您的回复。你提到的专业和职业相符不是个人说了算的，需要NZQA或IPENZ认证，我觉得非常有帮助。NZQA（https://www.nzqa.govt.nz/）是一个机构，想细问一下，具体需要做哪一项认证？据说IQA不会证明相关性。您是指NZQA的另外一个服务？求指点

Skill shortage list form: If your purpose is immigration, and you are applying under a Skill Shortage List (e.g., the Long Term Skill Shortage List or Immediate Skill Shortage List), download and complete this form and upload it within the online application. If you do not include this form in your application we will not assess your qualification against a skill shortage list.
